Keep to the right at all times until you reach the beach. A single hour&#8217;s sail covers the approximately 10 kilometers separating the island from the mainland, reaching the ports of Portoferraio (the main one), Rio Marina (45 minutes) and Cavo (30 minutes).<br \/>\nAlternatively, there is a fast hydrofoil connection, for passenger transport only, which reaches Cavo first and then Portoferraio in just 35 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The island of Elba is connected to the mainland by <b>various flights<\/b> during the summer period by Italian and foreign airlines.
